Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn are probably the most amazing siblings in music history. They were not only close as people, but also complemented each other musically, inspiring and helping each other - their common musical language is obvious.
While Felix celebrated great success, Fanny - as a woman in the 19th century - was denied a comparable career: one more reason to celebrate the brilliant siblings equally today!
The Aris Quartet pays tribute to the uniqueness of the siblings in its latest releases for Deutsche Grammophon. The E-single Op. 102, Presto will be released on April 11th 2025.
