Caspar Vinzens (*1993) is a German-Swiss violist and chamber musician. He completed his studies with Prof. Roland Glassl in Frankfurt, with Prof. Tabea Zimmermann in Berlin and in the quartet class of Prof. Günter Pichler in Madrid.

Caspar Vinzens is a member and co-founder of the Aris Quartet, which was founded in 2009 and with which he has since pursued an international concert career.

As part of this activity, concert halls such as the Wigmore Hall London, the Konzerthaus Vienna, the Philharmonie de París, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Megaron Athens, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and many other stages as well as the most important festivals are among the musician's regular venues.

Vinzens won 1st prize and the audience prize at the International Szymon Goldberg Award. As a member of the Aris Quartet, he has also won numerous competitions such as the International Joseph Joachim Chamber Music Competition in Weimar and is a five-time winner of the international ARD Competition in Munich. His ensemble also received the highly endowed chamber music prize of the Jürgen Ponto Foundation, the renowned Borletti Buitoni Trust Award, was named a BBC "New Generation Artist" and was included in the prestigious program of the ECHO (European Concert Hall Organization).

The Aris Quartet has already released six highly acclaimed CD recordings that have been praised by the specialist press, and its media presence also includes regular broadcasts on classical radio and TV productions for BBC TV, ZDF and ARTE, ZDF Aspekte and heute Journal, NHK (Japan) and others. Recordings for Deutsche Grammophon and its streaming platform STAGE+ will follow in 2023 and 2024.

In addition to his intensive work in the string quartet, Vinzens pursues solo projects, regularly plays as a substitute in major German orchestras and meticulously pursues pedagogical work; Caspar Vinzens has held a teaching position for chamber music at the HfMDK in Frankfurt am Main since 2022, supervising various formations, from duos to chamber orchestras.

He has supplemented his teaching activities with several workshops and master classes as a lecturer at the HfMDK Stuttgart, the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg and the Villa Musica Rheinland-Pfalz.
